Ashadha Gupt Navratri Ghatasthapana: Ghatasthapana or Kalash Sthapana Puja is a significant ritual during the Navratri festival. Ghatasthapana is considered to be the beginning of the nine-day Navratri festival. This day also has great significance like other Navratri in Ashadha Gupt Navratri. The Kalash (A vessel) is installed for the invocation of Maa Durga. It is believed that the Kalash being installed in the house removes the negative vibes present in the house. For the Ashadha Gupt Navratri Ghatasthapana, the east direction is considered quite auspicious.
Ashadha Gupt Navratri Ghatasthapana Rule
The first one-third of the day of Pratipada Tithi is deemed auspicious for Ghatasthapana. If the Kalash is not installed during this time for any reason, it can be done during Abhijeet Muhurta. If Ashadh Gupt Navratri Ghatasthapana is done, nine forms of Maa Durga should be worshiped on a regular basis for nine days. Perform Aarti in the morning and nighttime and offer Bhog. Take extra care to maintain cleanliness during this time.
Ashadha Gupt Navratri Ghatasthapana Significance
Gods and Goddesses, planets, and constellations are believed to dwell in Kalash, according to religious beliefs. Kalash is regarded as a source of happiness and prosperity, as well as a symbol of auspicious work. The Kalash is used to summon all the powers during Ashadha Gupta Navratri. This eliminates the bad energy in the home.
Ashadha Gupt Navratri Ghatasthapana: Puja Vidhi
For Ashadha Gupt Navratri Ghatasthapana, sprinkle Ganga Jal in the east direction of the house and keep a utensil and cover it with red cloth and place a picture or an idol of Maa Durga on it. Now take sacred soil and pour it in a Claypot/utensil and sow the barley seeds in it. After that, fill Gangajal in a copper or a clay utensil and add Akshat, Supari (Betelnut), a coin, clove and Durva in it. Then tie a Kalava on the neck of the Kalash and completely cover the coconut with red cloth (Chunri). Then tie it with Kalava and put it in the Kalash after adding the mango leaves in the Kalash. Following this, install this Kalash on the pot/utensil of barley seeds on the right side of Durga Maa. After that, worship the Goddess Durga.
